The First ADHD Open Space Zine!
Part of moving away from other platforms like Substack and Medium has to include making it worth your while. Sure, getting the posts via email is fun, but how about something you can actually hold in your hands.
I've been enjoying learning about, reading, and creating "zines" lately. I confess I came to the zine world via the hustle-culture space PocketMod but the format is much more rich, varied, and frankly, punk-rock than a schedule and task list in your pocket.
Part of why I love it is because it's a very inclusive art form. I've seen scribbled, hand-lettered zines that have touched my soul and beautifully laid-out high-production zines that have been just plain silly. I highly recommend the reddit.com/zine community if you're interested in seeing more.
If you read the subscription benefits here at ADHD Open Space, you'll see that I committed to a monthly zine for subscribers. This will be a downloadable, print-ready PDF for all free subscribers, and an actual physical mail version for my paid subscribers (both of them, though one of them might get theirs hand-delivered since they live nearby).
I hope you enjoy it – it's a combination of thoughts, cool things, and procreate-inspired fun for October. If you're printing it yourself, you'll find the folding directions, both in image and video, at the bottom of this post.
Oh! Speaking of which, here's the pdf:

You don't have to use scissors for the one cut -- you can just fold the crease hard and carefully tear it.
